This is us getting to the hotel. The moment we got there the kids saw the swimming pool and wanted to swim so we suited up and went to go swimming but the heater on the pool was broken so we weren't able to go.. bummer.
The first day there Todd went to the Energy solutions site to learn about their operation site in Moab. The kids and I chilled in the hotel and then he came and picked us up and we went to the Moab park and had a bbq with his class. The kids loved playing on the rocks and toys there. The hamburgers were yummy. It was awesome to have a bbq in warm weather again.
After the bbq Todd and his class and I went to an old uranium mine to look for rocks with uranium. They took Geiger counters and walked all around looking for rocks with uranium. It was fun to watch! The kids and I looked for our own rocks too.
This is the rock that Todd found that was pretty radioactive. It made the Geiger counter make lots of noise. The uranium on the rock is a beautiful bright yellow color. It was really cool to learn about it and find a rock with some on it.
Afterwards we met up with our friends for a long time.. Scott and Mindi Saunders. We went and played on a big sand hill. The boys loved it!
I love this picture of Todd. Todd found a big rock and told Easton and Ryker to stand still.
After the sandhill we went bowling. When we took off our shoes we dropped sand everywhere.. I felt bad about that. We had a blast bowling in Moab. It was so fun... and of course... I won ;)
After bowling we went out to eat at Eddie McStiffs. It was good. Todd had steak and I had a big burrito. Then we went for ice cream at the Moab Diner. YUMMY!
Easton and Ryker had so much fun together they were hilarious together.
On Sunday we went through Arches National Park it was amazing as always. This was the first time that we took the kids and they loved it too..
There is sandy dirt everywhere in Moab... Ryker loved picking up handfuls of sandy dirt!! Everywhere we went and every time I turned around he had a handful of dirt!
This is our family inside the South Window arch. What an amazing view (not us the arch;)
The arch behind Todd and Ryker was called Turets arch- I just knew you would want to know that;)
More arch pictures.. turns out there are lots of arches in Arches National Park
So these next pictures are of sandstone arch. The hike to it was awesome and there was lots of sand so the kids loved it!
Of course Todd had to climb on top of the arch... Sadie yelled at him the whole time saying "No Daddy get down." You can see her on the bottom telling him whats up.
All and all it was an absolute blast! Thanks Scott and Mindy for such a great time! Can't wait for next years trip.

It looks like a blast. I am still waiting for your brother to take us to Moab. I love that you and Todd do fun things with your family. It will build lots of memories for your kids! I wish we were better at it!

I'm so glad I found your cute blog! It's funny how we see each other so regularly but I don't know what's really going on in your life. No excuses! It looks like you had a blast.
