Christmas Break

So this Christmas was awesome as always. We had a great break. Here are some of the pictures of all the Christmas activities.
Aunt Jandy made all the grandkids some dang cute pajamas... Thanks Jandy.. love them!

Christmas day was awesome we opened presents, went to Great Grandma Grovers and had a huge breakfast.. pancakes, bacon, eggs, = DELICIOUS .. and then we got our two dollar bills for our presents .. thanks great grandma G.... after breakfast we came home and opened presents this is the pictures of us opening our gifts..

This is pictures of the kids opening their santa claus gifts. Ryker got his crane truck... he asked santa several times for a crane truck.

This is the kids opening the gifts from their stockings. Ryker helped me put out the stockings and cookies and milk for santa. He was so excited to see the stockings full and cookies eaten! He really figured it out this year and it was so fun to watch him.

After opening gifts we played lots of games and ate yummy prime rib and homeade rolls with potatoes. Thanks Uncle Adam and Aunt Kayla for the prime rib and Aunt Jandy for the delicious rolls!! We stayed up until midnight on Christmas day playing games and eating. we all ate so much ! We didn't want to miss any moment of Christmas.

So these next pictures are of the annual Harris Christmas Eve party.. it was tons of fun this year as always...

All of the grown ups got to play a game and get a present.. Kayla tried a new tradition this year with a poem that tells you what present to take from who.. it was fun!~

All the kids sat in a circle and played a game and got gifts... this was Sadie's gift!

Sadie opening her present

All the kids passing there presents with a game.

Musical chairs... the kids loved this and they all got awesome little debbie treats from uncle Adam... thanks

So during the break we played a lot of racquetball! It was awesome. We taught Ryker how to play too... it was a lot of fun..

We didn't pull out the camera at the Shermans house and I wished we would have. We had a blast there too. We watched the University of Utah and Boise state game which was quite fun considering that half the family were Utes fans and the others were Boise state fans... yeah your probably wondering if we still get along the answer is yes because Todd and I are Idahoans... anyway we also played a lot of card games and ate lots of yummy food. Thanks Shermanators for the good time and the awesome gifts.

We also stopped at Great Grandma and Grandpa Shermans on the way up to Idaho and stayed a night with her. Grandma Sherman is so awesome! She fed us yummy food and we got too see all 800 of her santa clauses! Yes I said 800! We love going to her house, it always gets us in the Christmas spirit. While we were there Sadie got sick and we had to go to Logan for medicine but she got better really quickly after the medicine.

We also stopped by Great Grandma and Grandpa Brownings on the way there too and had some yummy food. We love visiting grandparents they always spoil us and feed us when we come. We love them so much!!!

Grover Annual Gingerbread Contest

So we have started a new tradition in the groovin Grover family. We have a gingerbread contest against brothers and sisters. Last year I won everyone of course... and this year of course I won again! j/k last year I actually didn't win, Jandy did and Todd came in second.... I came in 2nd to last... Kaden was last.... Anyway.. I was pretty upset about that so I was totally going to redeem myself this year and make the coolest barn in the world. I made the gingerbread from scratch and everything (unlike my brothers and sisters who buy theirs from walmart) after I pulled out the gingerbread from the oven I sat it out too cool and the dogs ate it!!!! NOOOOO anyway so I had to work with scraps. You would think that because I only had scraps I would have lost this year but actually I totally won!

This year we didn't have a judge because no one wanted to do it! Everyone we asked said no because they were afraid that if they don't pick the right winner that we would not like them anymore so we don't know who won. HOwever...... I decided to appoint myself as the judge this year since nobody stepped up to the line. SO.. i would like to announce the winners... ME first place, Todd second. tie between Heidi and Jandy for 3rd and then pretty much adam kayla and kaden tie for last place.. sorrry ;) Congratulations to me!!
Heidi did a beautiful house with a pond=3rd place

Daeson and his awesome house

Adalynn and her princess house

Mieley and her beautiful house

This is TOdds freakin sweet awesome original homemade design. It has homemade gingerbread cars made from scratch and the monster truck again homemade gingerbread with chocolate donuts for the wheels and the spectators ... gummy bears what an amazing idea! This is definately 2nd place material!
THis is Kayla's face as she waits for the results of her gingerbread house ....

Adam and Kayla's log cabin ..................... last place

And here we have the grand prize winner... Danielle Grace Grover Sherman!!! 1st place gingerbread winner for 2010 Grover contest!! the crowd goes wild. I mean look at that piece of art. It is my finest work yet. To start the gingerbread it is homemade with the finest ingredients fresh an delicious. THe roof what an amazing idea to use such fine detail. And then in front with icicles what an original idea and then the little animal cookies stowed away in the manger wow! then to top it off i used a little wagon upfront. This is going to be hard to ever top off . probably it will go down as the Grovers finest gingerbread house ever! 1st place forever!

Whoops I accidently posted this picture Ryker sometimes takes the camera and takes pictures of himself and then...
Cant wait for next years contest so that I can win again.. It was fun family and hopefully one day someone will be able to beat me.
