Thanksgiving 2010

This years thanksgiving was awesome! We went up the weekend before Thanksgiving to my parents house and had the whole entire Grover family there except for Brandon, Zack and Aunt Joyce! It was so good to see everyone and the food was yummy! Then, on Thanksgiving day Nicole and I had to work the same shift so we decided to do thanksgiving meal at my house. .. It was my first thanksgiving ever making my own food all by myself. I learned how to make yams and pie crust which I have never done. This was the first year I ever bought a turkey and I bought a 22lb turkey not realizing how much meat it was. Anyway... needless to say we had tons of leftover turkey. 22lbs of turkey for 4 adults is too much just so you all know;) We also had spinach artichoke dip, rolls, yams, pumkin pie, turkey, potatoes and gravy and it was all yummy... well I think so but you can ask Tyrell and Nicole if you want the truth. Anyway it was fun to make everything on my own and it made me realize how grateful I am for my mothers, grandmothers, Aunts, sisterin laws and every women out there who has ever made me thanksgiving meal... its alot of work so thank you!

This is us chowing down on the meal... the kids loved it.

This is a picture of the whole meal. Thanks to Todd, we had beautiful plates to dine on. He bought me the sunflower plates for my birthday. I love them. I especially like Nicole's face in this picture.
THis is our family photo at my mom's thanksgiving

And this is all of my family.. Its been a long time since we have all been together. We were lucky to have Brad back from Afghanistan to celebrate with us. I love my family and I am SO grateful for them!

Sherman Christmas Party

Ryker picking up the candy from the pinata's, if you look in the middle it looks like a little kid is missing a head but really... its just the pinata with its head hit off ;)

So, every year Grandma Sherman puts a huge Christmas Party on for the whole family and every year it is a blast! We always eat a good home cooked meal... this year it was homeade soup, rolls, salad, and desserts. Then after that Santa Claus comes and all the kids get to sit on his lap and get a present. Grandma Sherman has done this for years. Of course everyone knows that grandma Sherman loves santa... she has like i don't know like over 800 santa clause's in her house! Anyway then after Santa leaves... then the kids get to hit the pinata! Oh they love doing that! This year was a blast and here are some of the photos.

Ryker sitting on Santa's lap. He was really focused on that present. This year he asked santa for a crane truck,.... we will see if he has been good enough this year...

This is Sadie attempting to get on Santa's lap. .She was kind of scared but she eventually warmed up to him and sat on his lap and stared at his beard. It was so funny.

This is Ryker swinging away at the pinata. He was pretty good this year..... he actually hit it!;)Sherman family photo. Everyone knows you can't go to a party without getting a family picture. Surprisingly everyone in the family was there to be in the photo which was awesome! Ohhhh...what a good looking family wouldn't you say... ;)

Huge exciting news!

So, we didn't go to Lake Havasupai in October like we had planned too because Todd had an interview with some Japanese representatives from Hitache-GE, we were kind of bummed..... UNTIL NOW!!!! We just found out that Todd got an internship with Hitachi GE Nuclear Energy for the summer of 2011! He is so super excited. He gets to see two new nuclear power plants be built and he gets to learn all about the process! Good Job TODD!! I am so proud of you...

We all turned into men

So, Two of my very best friends started a new business called 5 o' clock shadow, they make these awesome face warmers that look like a beard! I think they are so hilarious... Anyway they needed some models for their blog and so they asked us and the kiddos. So here are some of the pictures from their facebook page. If you want to buy some check them out. They are on facebook under 5 o'Clock Shadow and they have a blog at http://5-oclockshadow.blogspot.com/
