Ryker's New Bed!

It is with great excitement that I introduce you to Ryker's new bed! This is a very special bed because his Dad made it for him. Todd spent 3weeks making this beautiful bed. I thought that it turned out amazing! There is a cool story about the wood that this bed was made out of. In our old apartment our landlord cut down an English Walnut tree. The landlord was just going to throw it away. Todd thought well if he's just going to throw it away than I'm going to keep it. So he hired a guy from Logan, UT to come and cut the wood into boards with a portable band saw. THen we took the wood to Idaho in Todd 's parents house to let it dry for a year (thanks Craig and Carla for letting us do that) Now that its been a year.. Todd cut up the wood and made this beautiful bed! So now, Ryker always has a piece of his first home, Pretty cool.

Ryker is very proud of his, what he calls "slide bed"

As you can tell from this picture it makes him very happy ! :)

Both Ryker have been playing on the bed ever since. Sadie loves it just as much as Ryker does. Everytime we have any visitor over Ryker shows them his new bed. The best part about this bed is that alot of times Ryker will take off his clothes down to his underwear and then he will try to slide down the slide but his skin sticks to the slide and he says "look mom, I'm stuck" everytime he does it, I die of laughter its so funny.

WHAT A HIKE! MT. OLYMPUS. . .

So Todd and I and a bunch of neighbors are planning a trip to Lake Havasupai in Septemeber. We are really excited. We have been trying to get in shape for it because its a pretty hard hike. So we decided last weekend to go and hike Mt Olympus. So we got a babysitter and went. It was insane! I have never been on a hike where it is literally straight up and straight down with nothing else in between! It was a pretty hard hike, but it was totally worth it! As you can see the view was incredible! It took us 5hrs and 30minutes to complete. We were pretty proud that we could do it. However, Todd was kind of a whanny afterwards. He was like. "my legs hurt so bad" -haha I love ya Todd.

This is us on top of the mountain

This is me on top of the mountain. I look really tired... I was. I was trying to call my mom to let her know I was on top of the world but she didn't answer. oh well.

This is the summit right before the top. It was a little scary in some places because it was very steep as you can see. I couldn't get Todd to look at the camera. He said he didn't want too look at the camera but that he just wanted to stare. So... here is a picture of Todd staring off into the distance I hope you enjoy it. ;) Deep thoughts Todd...

This is also towards the top. It is pretty steep, its like rock climbing except for without gear. See Dad, I told you it was hard! (My dad teases me and says that Mt Olympus is a hill, not a mountain).
All in all we had an awesome time. Our next goal and adventure is going to be Mt Timpanogas. We figured since we are living by all these beautiful mountains we might as well climb them. And Yes... my legs were really sore too.

4th of July Weekend

Happy 4th of July to everyone! i hope you all had an awesome one! This is my favorite picutre of our celebration;! Love it TOdd, he has like the joker smile.

So I was trying to get a picture of both the kids but Ryker just took over and took the spotlight. He would not let me take a picture of Sadie and him together until Dad made him. He's already into himself.. great ;)

This is the first time in history where Ryker actually smiled for the camera! Hallelujah!

Thanks mom for getting this cute dress for Sadie. She got lots and lots of compliments.

On the 3rd of July we were in charge of the ward breakfast so we got up very early 530am and got that all set up. It turned out awesome and we had a great turn out and the food rocked! Then, we went home and took a nap because we were all exhausted. We woke up and had a bbq and walked to Sugarhouse park with Tyrell and Nicole. We played and watched fireworks. Then we came home and had 4th of July cake! It was so fun!! I missed passing out chocolate milk this year in Rexburg though. oh well maybe next yr.

This is us watching the fireworks. as you can see Sadie cared way more about the cherries than the fireworks.

This is our breakfast that we were in charge of. This is us setting it up and getting it ready . We blocked of the street for it and ate on the road.

Todd took this picture of me at the breakfast setting up. I look really happy.

On the 2nd of July we went to the Granite fireworks! we got two firework shows this year! They were so SO awesome! They had huge and loud fireworks. Ryker loved it until the grand finale then the noise just made him cry. It suprised me to see him cry. Sadie however loved it and was yelling yay and wooo. We had snap and pops and we were throwing them before the show started and Ryker was so scared to throw them that he just plain wouldn't do it but Sadie would squeeze them in her hands and step on them, she loved it. At the end of all our celebration Ryker finally threw a snap and pop and since then he loves them. Our awesome neighbors Angela and Roger came and made it even more fun!

After the firework show we stopped at Betos and got some mexican food, it was yummy! We rode our bikes! It was such a blast. I love the fourth of july!

You can tell in this picture that everyone is tired. THis is at the end of the show. looks like everyone needs to go to sleepy

Summer Fun

These are just a few of the things we have been up to this summer...

Double Family Reunion :)

This last weekend we had a double family reunion. We had the Browning Reunion and the Grover reunion. We had a blast! It was so good to see everyone and it made us realize even more how lucky and blessed we are to have such an awesome family!
This is a picture of all the Browning Family. It was fun too see everyone. We went to Green canyon and went swimming. It was fun. We camped outside in the tent. We got a little wet from the rain but not too bad. Tassi on the other hand got her tent blow completely away with her and the boys in it! It was so weird because this sudden gush of wind and sudden rain storm hit and lasted for 10min. but then it was gone and nice and calm. It was crazy. We also played card games, ate lots of good food, and had a baby guessing game. Lots of fun.

These are the only pictures I have of the Grover reunion. All the kids would ride down a big hill with this little motorbike! It was hilarious! All the adults would sit and watch the kids biff it. It was so fun! We all rode motorbikes and Uncle Scotts razor. We had an awesome meal and talked around the campfire. Lots of fun!

This is Ryker's new best friend. It is Candace and Josh's dog. He loved this dog so much and wouldn't leave it alone. The poor dog. . .
