Easter 2011

The kids had a blast this year with Easter. They are both old enough that they get it which made it even funner. Both of Sadie's Grandma's got her an Easter dress. The white one is from Grandma G and the pink is from Grandma Sherman. Grandma Sherman made the dress herself for Sadie.. pretty impressive. She loved both of them and called herself a princess when she wore them.


Easter day the kids woke up and found lots of eggs and looked for their Easter baskets.

In their Easter baskets they got scooters, candy and kites. That day we went to the park and flew kites. It was fun!



I got spoiled too on Easter... the bunny brought me a new way nice camping mat for this summer's camping adventures.

Then after the hunt we went to church. After church we had a big Easter dinner with our neighbors Ralph and Tom. It was yummy I made slow roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, salad, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, and strawberry shortcake with whip cream... yummy!

American Nuclear Student Conference April 14-17, 2011

So Todd got to go to Atlanta, Georgia to go to a Nuclear student conference. He submitted an abstract and the conference chose him to present his Master's project on neutron activation. So he got the opportunity to present in front of a lot of people. This picture is of all of his fellow students at the Georgia Aquarium. This is where they had their final dinner and announced the winners of the awards.
Todd and his fellow student Abdoe were awarded best presenter which was a big deal.

This is where they ate. There was a huge shark whale as you can see that they were able to watch while they were eating. Todd said the aquarium was amazing the coolest he has seen.

They also got to see the Coca-Cola building while they were their too.

They also got to go to a braves game while they were there twice!! The first game was rained out so they got to go to a second game the next day.
