What have we been up too?

So there is a story behind this picture. One day we were going to go to the library... Ryker asked me if he could take his blanket to the library. I told him no. He asked several more times and I told him no every single time. So when it was time to go, I told him to take his blanket up to his room and get his jacket on. So, he went upstairs and came downstairs looking like this and said..... "K mom, I'm ready to go.... He thought he was being so sneaky. What was hilarious about it all was the shirt that he chose to wear..............

Ryker has some very exciting news.... He can ride his bike without training wheels!!!!!

He is so proud and happy that he can do it... he hasn't been off his bike since. I taught him how to do it and he picked up on it really fast.

Ryker has been playing on a soccer team since March. He has gotten really good. At first it was like horrible he would like stand and pick his nose while everyone kicked the ball around him. But after lots of Daddy practice time he got to be really good at the end of the season he knew what to do and he loved it.

One day his coach decided to try him as goaly. That didn't go so well...

If you look at Ryker in this picture he is totally closing his eyes and praying that the ball doesn't hit him....Lets just say he was way better at kicking it in the goal.

With the recent nice weather we have been outside a lot and the kids love to swim. Our neighbors and the kids have swam every nice day.

Easter 2011

The kids had a blast this year with Easter. They are both old enough that they get it which made it even funner. Both of Sadie's Grandma's got her an Easter dress. The white one is from Grandma G and the pink is from Grandma Sherman. Grandma Sherman made the dress herself for Sadie.. pretty impressive. She loved both of them and called herself a princess when she wore them.

Easter day the kids woke up and found lots of eggs and looked for their Easter baskets.

In their Easter baskets they got scooters, candy and kites. That day we went to the park and flew kites. It was fun!

I got spoiled too on Easter... the bunny brought me a new way nice camping mat for this summer's camping adventures.

Then after the hunt we went to church. After church we had a big Easter dinner with our neighbors Ralph and Tom. It was yummy I made slow roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, salad, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, and strawberry shortcake with whip cream... yummy!

American Nuclear Student Conference April 14-17, 2011

So Todd got to go to Atlanta, Georgia to go to a Nuclear student conference. He submitted an abstract and the conference chose him to present his Master's project on neutron activation. So he got the opportunity to present in front of a lot of people. This picture is of all of his fellow students at the Georgia Aquarium. This is where they had their final dinner and announced the winners of the awards.
Todd and his fellow student Abdoe were awarded best presenter which was a big deal.

This is where they ate. There was a huge shark whale as you can see that they were able to watch while they were eating. Todd said the aquarium was amazing the coolest he has seen.

This is the entry to the aquarium

They also got to see the Coca-Cola building while they were their too.

They also got to go to a braves game while they were there twice!! The first game was rained out so they got to go to a second game the next day.

These are the rain clouds that rained them out the first game pretty intense Todd said.

Walking to the game

This is what Todd got the kids from the braves game. They loved the new bats and balls.

Viva Las Vegas Mommy Daughter vacation April 4-8

So my mom asked me to go on a trip with her to Las Vegas and Mesquite for her Idaho Potato Grower business trip. We had a blast. I left the kids in Idaho. Sadie stayed with Kayla and Ryker stayed with Tassi. We flew out of Idaho Falls on Monday and flew home on Friday. We had a blast!

Vegas never sleeps... neither did we. The first night mom and I stayed up until 3 am talking and having fun.

On Tuesday we went to Mesquite and went golfing on a beautiful golf course! It was perfect weather. We did pretty good but unfortunately mom barely beat me.... I was mad.

While we were in Vegas we walked the strip and ate at two buffets, the Treasure Island and the MGM grand hotel buffets. I really liked the salads at Treasure Island and I loved the crab and shrip at the MGM's. And the dessert bars were awesome too!
These pictures are at the MGM we thought the letters were cool so we took a picture. We stayed the night at MGM on Thursday.

This guy is real I thought he was a real statue but then he moved and it totally surprised me.

This was at one of the malls we shopped at, I thought it was way cool how the ceiling was painted.

The mall had water running through it too, that was cool

I wanted this motorbike

The first night we stayed at the Rio and this was their main show. ... My mom went to it but I didn't I was too embarrassed..................... JUST KIDDING my mom and I didn't go but we got pictures of the billboard.

Highlights of the trip..... Mom winning lots of money off of the roulet tables, buffets, staying up late talking with mom, Mom getting hit on by a black jack dealer, the sweet hotel in Mesquite with loud birds that kept us up all night, the 60mph wind gusts that we were determined to golf in no matter what but then realized that the ball was going to hit our head from other golfers... free golf bag, our sweet humongous grand marquis car that we got hooked up with from the rent-a-car place, and the sweet upgrade at our Rio hotel... and the yummy cinnabons we ate at the airport, my ears that almost exploded on the plane and the funny man on the plane that mom couldn't stand but he kept talking to her,...... all and all it was a blast!

Thank you so much Tassi and Kayla for taking care of my kids so that I could have such an awesome time!
